A mental illness is a medical condition, not a disease. Drug addiction is a disease and substance use is a choice that you don’t have to make. Both mental health and substance use are treatable, you can choose to recover and it does not have to be a death sentence. Mental Health disorders involve significant disturbances in thinking, emotional regulation, or behaviors. There are effective prevention, therapy, medication and treatment options. Substance addiction is a disease that affects a person’s brain and behavior and leads to an ability to control the use of a legal or illegal drug or medicine. Substance use affects and disrupts a person’s thinking, feelings, mood, ability to function or relate to others or functioning daily. Both substance dependence and medical illness conditions that often results in a diminished capacity for coping with the ordinary demands of life.

Mental illnesses and substance abuse can affect any individual persons, any age, race, religion or income. Mental health illnesses are treatable. Substance abuse you can recover. It is not the result of personal weakness, lack of character or poor upbringing. With Mental health illness you can experience relief from their symptoms by actively participating in individual treatment, therapy sessions or perhaps medication for underlying conditions. Getting a diagnosis is an important first step. There is no one size fit all treatment when it comes to mental health illnesses or substance use. Each person will have different experiences even people with the same diagnosis.

What you want to do with your mental health will be totally up to you. We are here to be supportive and understanding that mental health illnesses information by you is not something forthcoming, but rather something important and meaningful to you. It’s personal information and we respect your decision to share or not share it with us We practice confidentiality and respect the privacy of anyone. We allow you to provide any relevant mental health information such as test results, you can provide a summary of diagnosis, medication details or any pertinent information about your mental illnesses. We will keep it confidential.

Do not stress out. We are here to make sure whatever mental health illnesses or addictions you are dealing with, and help is possible for you or any crisis you are going through that you receive the RIGHT information. We will not ask for mental health information details if you don’t want to offer the information up front. We are here to supply the right resources, ask questions, make sure you are pointed in the right direction. a loved one. You are not alone here.

We want to obtain your confidentiality and consent while being careful and mindful of your mental health illnesses or/and substance use. We have the utmost responsibility to ensure that your information is not being shared. We are here to ensure you find the right supportive measures for mental health or/and substance use. We want to listen to a person non-judgmentally. We are here to give you reassurance, support and guidance to help you through mental health illnesses conditions and/or substance abuse. We are not professionals or doctors and encourage you to seek appropriate professional help and assistance in determining what’s best for you.

We look to provide information about what mental illnesses treatment may include. Examples are outpatient treatment, where to get prescription medications, medical detoxification, counseling, medication management, psychiatric hospitalization services and other services in special circumstances. We are here to understand your concerns and personal triggers. We do realize that you can have certain stressors beyond our control. Just know that there is early warning signs and that we can assist you with phone numbers to get assistance or you can call your doctor(s) for further assistance and help.

We want to ensure you get the right health treatment plan which can include personal information about your mental health illnesses. We would like to know about your personal diagnosis, treatment goals, objectives and interventions to also better understand and assist your mental health and wellbeing needs.

We have several numbers on hand for crisis management, mental health crisis and suicide crisis. We want to stop suicidal thoughts, mental health crises and will provide you with phone numbers to stop the situation. If you are going through a mental health crisis or suicidal crisis, try to have a list of name(s) that you respond to well in times of crisis. You could provide personal demographics and contact information. You could also provide your current mental health illnesses diagnosis or condition(s). You can provide your psychological history, if necessary.
